Metal work is well underway on the hull of the first of Garcia Exploration 60. After being lifted last March, and before the systems assembly phase which will soon take place in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, this impressive piece (60 feet long and 18 feet wide) requires a lot of attention from the aluminium work specialists present on the Garcia Yachts site in Condé-en-Normandie.

The images below show the care taken in shaping the alloy plates and in the welding work. This exclusive unit, that represents the quintessential blue water aluminum cruising and expedition sail yacht in the 60 footer category, will undoubtedly be very much looked at, wherever on the blue planet she’ll point her bow.
