The Garcia Exploration 45, 52, and 60 sailboats are the result of a collaboration between Jimmy Cornell, the naval architecture firm Berret-Racoupeau, and the design office Garcia Yachts. Our goal: to create the ideal sailboat for long voyages in all latitudes. The result: a unique design, a high-performance hull, remarkable stability, a Shallow draft to a retractable centerboard, a deck layout organized for a small crew, and safe handling in rough seas.

The Exploration 60, like all Exploration Garcia yachts, is fully thermally insulated. It features double-thickness foam insulation on the planking, double-thickness glass windows, an insulating foam-sandwich floor, a watertight double-glazed door, and a ventilation system combining obstructable dorade boxes and forced mechanical ventilation (VMC). These technical choices guarantee a high level of thermal comfort, at high latitudes as well as in the tropics.

Garcia Exploration yachts are characterized by a rigorous approach to safety. They feature welded aluminium through-hull fittings, valves positioned above the waterline, watertight bulkheads fore and aft, and a rigorously calculated aluminium structure. A sturdy watertight door separates the saloon from the cockpit, all manoeuvres are carried out in the cockpit for added safety, and a rigid hatch provides optimum protection when underway.
