The freedom to sail where few ever go

the centreboarder gets you EVERYWHERE

Thanks to its shallow draft, the Exploration 60 can access the lagoons, shallow waters and most remote and tranquil beaches. Even the most adventurous can venture into poorly mapped areas. In the event of very bad weather, the centreboarder also offers the reassuring possibility of accessing highly protected, even shallow, sheltered areas.

LARGE TANKS TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT

With its 800 L freshwater tanks, Watermaker and 2,500 L diesel tanks, the Exploration 60 can sail far from marinas, in complete independence. Hydrogenerator, Solar panels, Generator, energy autonomy is also ensured by a choice of equipment. With this meters sailboat, even the most remote areas are accessible for long stays, in complete autonomy.

LARGE CARRYING CAPACITY

The Exploration 60 also has a real Workshop for tools and spare parts. It's spacious enough to work in. With its numerous interior stowage compartments, large sail locker and voluminous exterior storage spaces, the Exploration 60 has an exceptional carrying capacity of almost 4 tons. Paddles, bicycles, sports equipment such as skis and scuba tanks can be taken on board for all types of leisure or exploration.

EASILY ACCESSIBLE SYSTEMS

On board a Garcia, nothing is left to chance. All essential on-board systems - hull fittings, fuel and water circuits, electrical networks, technical equipment - are designed from the outset to be easily accessible, whether for routine checks, maintenance operations or one-off interventions at sea. And on the Exploration 60, all this technical equipment is grouped together in a single dedicated area, a true engine room. Soundproofed, this area also ensures crew comfort.

GO ANYWHERE,
SAFELY

the safety of an ALUMINIUM hull

This 60-foot sailboat's generously dimensioned aluminium hull, with thicknesses ranging from 5 to 12 mm, ensures unfailing impact resistance in the event of a nasty encounter. For even greater peace of mind, this meters yacht features a watertight bulkhead at the bow and stern, upstream of the steering system.

protected appendages

The propeller shaft is encased in a fin. The rudders, made of aluminium and preceded by a protective skeg, also feature a composite sacrificial zone at the top. In the event of impact, should the wick bend, the hull is preserved and the rudder remains functional.

Interior watch station

On board the Exploration 60, the design of the interior space contributes directly to safety at sea. The chart table acts as a sheltered watch Interior helm station, with immediate access to navigation instruments and engine controls, and is ideally positioned forward of the saloon for a view of the road ahead. Whatever the external conditions, the helmsman can keep his watch in the warmth and dryness of the boat's center. He remains connected to life on board, while enjoying a 270° panoramic view of the outside environment.

outdoor monitoring post

The Exploration 60 's helm station is protected by a cap at the descent end, extending into a Hard bimini. Perfectly protected from the seated position, with a view forward and close to the maneuvers, it's the ideal watch station to complement the Interior helm station. This area can also be enclosed with a canvas cover, for added protection in bad weather. Extending from the helm station, the cockpit provides a second, protected outdoor living area.

comfort

270° VIEW TO THE OUTSIDE

On an Exploration Garcia sailboat, whether at anchor or in port, you're inside in constant interaction with the outside. Whether seated or standing, the large glass surfaces and hull portholes give young and old alike a view of the outside world, the sea, the sails and the landscape. This unique feeling of being outside while being inside is incomparable when you live on a long-distance boat.

THERMAL INSULATION

Big cold or tropical heat, with its 74 mm hull thermal insulation, insulated floors, double glazing and wide vents, the Exploration 60 protects its crew from extreme temperatures. The boat can be heated by radiators fed by a central diesel-fired boiler. Heat is distributed evenly and silently. This equipment also provides soundproofing, both at sea and at anchor in high winds. Aboard the Exploration 60, comfort is total and serene.

QUALITY of finish

Every detail on board reflects Garcia's signature standards of precision and refinement. Materials are chosen for their quality, durability and visual appeal, then assembled with meticulous care. The interior design, created by Isabelle Racoupeau, blends contemporary elegance with offshore functionality and the inviting warmth of a true living space. Brushed aluminium trim lines the woodwork with understated sophistication, elevating the overall finish. Carefully considered lighting combines abundant natural light with discreet LED strips to create a calming atmosphere, day and night. From tinted wood tones to upholstery and hull color, each yacht can be tastefully customized to reflect the unique personality of its owners. Because living aboard a Garcia means embracing an aesthetic as exacting as your ambitions.

Superyacht-like refinement

The Exploration 60 raises Garcia's comfort standards to the level of yacht refinement. Generous volumes, meticulous ambience and top-of-the-range finishes make this an exceptional living space, designed to last.

The large, bright galley becomes a true center of life on board: perfectly equipped, convivial and functional, it reflects the spirit of the boat. Aft, the Owner’s cabin is like a suite: spacious, secluded and designed for rest and privacy. A dedicated Laundry room enhances on-board autonomy, complementing a crew cabin and a centralized technical area, accessible and safe for long voyages.

performance and
maneuverability

A MODERN, PERFORMANCE HULL

Garcia Exploration yachts are designed by world-renowned architect Olivier Racoupeau. The hull of this meters sailboat offers a clever compromise between performance and comfort. Anchor chain, water and fuel tanks, all weights are centered to optimize seaworthiness and sailing comfort. Easy to trim, Exploration 60 ocean-going sailboats boast daily averages in excess of 200 miles, shortening distances.

EASY TO MANEUVER SHORT-HANDED

‍Ergonomic deck layout, generously dimensioned and first-rate fittings, well-staggered sail plan, maneuvers returning to the cockpit, maneuvering area separate from outdoor living and watch area, Exploration have been designed to be maneuverable with a reduced crew. Maneuvers requiring effort are performed using hydraulic systems.

STABILITY WHEN SAILING DOWNWIND WITH THE CENTERBOARD RAISED

On this 60-foot sailboat, downwind, centerboard up the drag is reduced and the centerboard moved back, making the boat particularly smooth. Behavior is smoother. In breakers, thanks to the two rudders and the raised centerboard, the boat glides through the wave, without any crunching effect, so overspeed wave descents are controlled, even under autopilot.
