After several weeks immersed in the raw and fragile world of Antarctica, Balthazar is continuing her journey. From spectacular anchorages to precision navigation, the crew explores the peninsula a little further, encountering surprises, new people and moments suspended in time. This second episode brings to a close a journey that has been as demanding as it has been fascinating.
Discover the raw, spectacular landscapes of the Faroe Islands, an archipelago lost in the North Atlantic. These wild lands offer a unique experience for sailors looking to venture off the beaten track.
Sailing in the high latitudes is a challenge as fascinating as it is demanding. While organized cruises now make it possible to explore the polar regions, it is also possible to sail there on one's own. But to tackle the sometimes extreme conditions of these waters, a sailboat needs to have very specific characteristics. Discover the essential qualities of Garcia Yachtsdesigned to tackle high latitudes.

For six days, participants were able to enhance their technical skills through hands-on workshops led by expert trainers from the Grand Large Yachting group's training school - Escale Formation Technique:
Each session combined theory and hands-on experience with different equipment: engines, Watermaker, beacons, life rafts... Everyone was able to change an oil filter, learn how to make their own energy balance, or rinse a Watermaker circuit. Sea outings on Grand Large Yachting sailboats rounded off the week, with a stopover on the island of Groix.
Another highlight of the week: a sailing session reserved for women! The distribution of roles on board is an essential element in the success of a blue water cruising project. Sailing without one's spouse is also part of the confidence-building process for women on board.
British sailing legend Pete Goss honored this first edition with his presence, reuniting with owners he had already met 6 months earlier at the Owners' Seminar.
The community was also treated to an inspiring talk by the Tara Foundationabout contemporary ocean issues and responsible navigation.
