At the Cannes Yachting Festival, where GARCIA will be exhibiting an Explocat 52, the shipyard will also be presenting a new version of its best-seller. A new look and a cockpit version for less extreme programs.
The Explocat 52 occupies a unique position in the world of multihulls and aluminium boats. With 16 units ordered since its launch, it is the only small series aluminium catamaran in the segment of boats designed for committed programs.
Today, in collaboration with Franck Darnet and Pierre Delion, Explocat is being revamped as Explocat 522, with a redesigned aft cockpit and access to the skirts, increased light in the aft cabins, and a new exterior signature.
In addition,Explocat 52522 is now available in two steering position versions. Still faithful to the principle of the pivoting steering column, allowing steering in the high position when conditions are favorable and in the low position, protected, when conditions deteriorate, Garcia Yachts is taking the concept a step further with:
- a Haven-Deck version, with upper sail handling station in the lower section, for greater protection during maneuvers, and ideal for single-handed or short-handed operation.
- a Sky-Deck version, with a upper sail handling station on top and a wider Helm station bench, inviting you to enjoy the best sea view the boat has to offer.
